The thermal baths of Bagni San Filippo story

Prior Filippo Benizi discovered the thermal springs and mentioned them in writing for the first time in 1271. He gave the name of the village Bagni San Filippo.

Bagni San Filippo is the oldest natural Spa in the world. The Etruscans and the Romans bathed here. The huge white cascades with the turquoise pools form an almost surreal ambience.

From the parking at the top of the road you can take a short walk along a path that leads down to the thermal river.

The river has a wide variety of water pools that stretch over 2 km in the woods with the most beautiful pool being in front of the White Whale limestone formation.

Vulci Thermal Bath

The story of the Vulci Thermal Bath is like a fairytale. There was a farmer on these lands who’s asparagus harvest was always abundant and he became famous throughout the region. The thermal water rich in mineral salts made his land flourish.

The story continues today. The 4 natural termal pools at the Vulci Spa with therapeutic waters heal many aspects of the body and mind.

The Spa is just over an hour from Rome, which makes it the perfect destination for a day trip dedicated to wellness or for a relaxing weekend.

If you want to stay longer, there is a wonderful glamping, bar and restaurant at Vulci Thermal Bath that will make your stay memorable.
